Training and Support (/training-support)

Training and support

You will not be
working this out alone.

LifeWise Academy takes you from knowing nothing about estate planning to sitting confidently in front of your first family. After that the support does not stop. The law changes, families get complicated, and you will want someone to ask.

What you learn.

Training is delivered online through LifeWise Academy, at your own pace, with live sessions and assessment at the end of each stage.

1

Foundations of Life Planning

What Life Planning is, where it sits alongside legal and financial advice, the ethics of the role, and the boundaries you must never cross. Includes the Life Planner code of conduct.

2

Wills and succession in England and Wales

How a valid will is made under the Wills Act 1837, what happens on intestacy, the role of executors and guardians, common mistakes, and when a case must go to a solicitor. You learn enough to spot problems, not to draft documents.

3

Lasting Powers of Attorney

Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare LPAs under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, registration with the Office of the Public Guardian, certificate providers, capacity, and what happens when a family leaves it too late.

4

Estates, probate and what executors face

What a grant of probate is, what an executor actually has to do, why estates take months, and how good preparation shortens it. Includes when probate work must be referred to an authorised practitioner.

5

Later life, care and difficult conversations

Care funding, downsizing, capacity, family dynamics, bereavement, and how to raise subjects people avoid without making the room colder. Includes the devolved differences in care funding that apply to clients in Wales.

6

Running your practice

Registering as self-employed, professional indemnity insurance, ICO registration and data protection, client records, pricing, and anti-money-laundering awareness.

7

Finding and keeping clients

Where Life Planning clients actually come from, how to build referral relationships with local professionals, running a community workshop, and the follow-up system that turns a first meeting into an annual review.

A real sequence, not a promise

Your first ninety days.

Week one

Onboarding and set-up

Welcome call, Academy access, your LifeWise profile, client record system, calendar and email set up, and your territory discussion.

Weeks two to six

Core training

Work through modules one to five at your own pace alongside live group sessions. Assessment at the end of each module.

Weeks six to eight

Practice and accreditation

Role-played consultations with a mentor, your first full Life Plan reviewed line by line, then accreditation as a LifeWise Life Planner.

Weeks eight to twelve

Going live locally

Launch your marketing, build your first professional introducer relationships, run your first community talk, and hold your first paid consultations with mentor support on call.

What keeps arriving after training ends.

Planning tools

The Life Plan builder, client questionnaires, consultation scripts, fact-find templates and the secure document vault your clients use to store their information.

Client management

A CRM with your pipeline, calendar booking, automated reminders, review scheduling and email and SMS follow-up that runs without you remembering to do it.

Marketing you can use

A branded local page, campaign templates, workshop presentation packs, social content and printed materials you can put in front of a community group.

Technical updates

When the law or practice changes, you get told, in plain English, with a note about which of your clients it affects.

Mentoring and case support

Someone to call when a case is unusual. Regular clinics where planners bring real situations and work through them together.

The referral network

Access to vetted solicitors, will writers, financial advisers and probate practitioners, so you always have somewhere credible to send regulated work.

You bring the empathy. We bring the machinery.
