The Opportunity

Build a meaningful local business around a need every family shares.

Most people know they should organise their important documents, make or update a will, consider powers of attorney, record their wishes and prepare for later life. Yet many continue to postpone these essential tasks, because they do not know where to begin, find the subject uncomfortable, or simply need someone they trust to guide them.

LifeWise is creating a new profession to help meet this need.

Real people.
Real need.
A real opportunity.

A brighter future for you and the communities you serve.

1

A market hiding
in plain sight

Life Planning is relevant at almost every stage of adult life, and demand is growing as the population ages, families become more complex and people recognise the importance of being prepared.

Clients may need help after a major life event, such as retirement, bereavement, illness, divorce, moving home or receiving an inheritance. Others simply want the reassurance of knowing their affairs are organised.

LifeWise brings these needs together through one coordinated and supportive planning relationship.

2

Become a trusted
local guide

You do not need to provide every specialist service personally. Your role is to help clients understand what needs attention, create a clear plan, and connect them with appropriately qualified professionals where legal, financial or other specialist advice is required.

You become the person clients return to when circumstances change, documents need reviewing or additional support is required. That creates the opportunity to build long-term relationships rather than relying entirely on one-off transactions.

  • Peace of mind

Be the calm in the complexity.

3

Create multiple
income streams

A LifeWise business can generate income from:

  • Initial consultations and personalised Life Planning programmes
  • Annual reviews and ongoing membership services
  • Practical help with organising records, wishes and family information
  • Support with later-life planning, downsizing and life transitions
  • Introductions to trusted providers of wills, LPAs, financial planning, probate and related services
  • Workshops, talks and community events

The services you offer can develop gradually as your experience and local reputation grow.

4

Your business,
supported by LifeWise

You will be responsible for building and managing your own business, but you will not have to create everything from the beginning.

LifeWise provides structured training, planning tools, consultation frameworks, templates, marketing resources, technology and ongoing support. You will also become part of a growing community of Life Planners sharing ideas, experience and good practice.

Selected local territories may be offered to help you establish a clear presence and develop trusted relationships within your community.

5

Work in a way
that suits your life

Life Planning can be delivered in person, online or by telephone, allowing you to work flexibly and develop the business at a pace that suits your circumstances.

You might begin part-time, combine Life Planning with an existing profession, or build it into your principal source of income. What matters most is empathy, integrity, organisation and the determination to build a successful, client-focused business.

Flexibility today. Freedom tomorrow.

6

An opportunity
to get in early

LifeWise is at the beginning of its journey. Early Life Planners will have the opportunity to help shape a new profession, contribute ideas and establish themselves locally as awareness of Life Planning grows.

This is an opportunity to build something commercially rewarding while helping families deal with matters that are genuinely important.

Be a pioneer. Shape the future.

Being straight with you

What a Life Planner does not do.

Clear boundaries protect your clients and protect you. Some work in this sector is regulated, and it stays with the specialists we introduce you to.

You will not act in probate

Applying for a grant of probate on someone else's behalf for reward is a reserved legal activity in England and Wales under the Legal Services Act 2007. Life Planners introduce families to authorised probate practitioners and support them around that process.

You will not give regulated financial advice

Advising on investments, pensions, annuities or insurance products requires FCA authorisation. Life Planners identify when a family needs that conversation and introduce a regulated adviser.

You will not give legal advice

Will writing itself is not a reserved activity in England and Wales, but interpreting the law for a client is a job for a qualified professional. Complex estates, disputed matters, trusts and tax planning are referred.

You will not be handed clients

LifeWise provides training, systems and marketing support. You build the local relationships. This is your business to grow, and results depend on the work you put in.
